Plathosys Handset

Overview

Plathosys Handsets are a Product line of USB Handsets optimized for Command & Control Centers.

These Handsets come with a dedicated cradle and can operate as Passive Loudspeaker as well.

They provides the highest speech quality and natural tones when using PC telephony. Both the earpiece and the microphone are within the frequency range 100 Hz to 7,500 Hz as per ETSI ES 202 739 – and thus give the best HD audio quality.

Models

The Nomad PC Application has been integrated with 2 of the Plathosys handset Models:

Plathosys CT 260 PRO

The Plathosys CT 260 PRO is the High-End Model, perfect for Command & Control Centers

It has a PTT or PTM button which can be programmed individually per handset.

Optionally a foot switch, desk station microphone, an external loudspeaker, a cordless or wired headset or a second handset just for listening in can be connected.

Plathosys CT 140 PRO

The Plathosys CT 140 PRO is the uncomplicated version for all users who like to use a handset to make telephone calls. With this handset, your PC becomes a high-performance telephone.

Whether in the office or on the move, the handset is characterised by its ease of operation. Elegant in design, it fits comfortably in the hand – perfect for anyone who can't do without a handset!

Usage with Nomad

The connection with Nomad is very easy and straightforward, simply plug the Handset in one of the USB port and let the PC automatically install the drivers.

Once the Device has been recognized and is available, start Nomad and Add an Audio Device

When the Plathosys Handset is linked to a Call Focus or a Talk Box Applet, it will allow for the following actions:

  • Lifting the Handset from the cradle when there is an Incoming Call will answer that call
  • Setting the Handset back in the cradle when a call is established on the Applet will close that call
  • Lifting the Handset from the cradle when there is no incoming activity will open the Dialpad for a new "preparing" call
