Call Control Panel

the Call Control Panel allows a Nomad User to gain Complete Control over the Conference Participants:

  • Mute a Participant (Cannot Speak)
  • Temporarily Exclude a Particpant (Cannot Speak nor Hear)
  • Kick a Participant out of the conference

Call Control Panel

Access

The Call Control Panel can only be accessed while a call is present on the slot:

  • From the TeamView
    Call Control Access from Teamview
  • From the Call Focus
Call Control Access from Call Focus

Call/Conference Ownership

Before being able to Mute/Restrict/Kick Conference Participants, the user must take Ownership of the Conference.

Tip

The Nomad User who placed (or answered) the call on a routed slot will automatically have the Ownership...while calls on Permanent slots do not have an Owner by default.

The call owner can release the Ownership at anytime

Call Control release Ownership

Note

If the Owner leaves the call, the Ownership is automatically released and can be taken by anyone (Nomad User).

Conversation Mode

A conference has 2 conversation modes:

  • Public - Anyone can join the Conference simply by joining the slot
  • Restricted - it is not possible to join the Conference unless specifically called in by the Owner

Public

While in Public Mode the Owner can take 2 actions on the Participants:

1_ Mute

Call Control Mute

If an External Participant (Non Nomad User) is Muted, it will be clearly shown in the Call Control Panel.
However, it must be clearly noted that the Participant himself will not have any visual notification on his phone that he is currently muted.

Call Control Ext Unmute

If an Internal Participant (Nomad User) is Muted, it will both be shown in the Call Control Panel and on the Call Focus.

2_ Kick

The Owner can kick any Participant out of the Conference.
Unlike the Mute or the Restrict which can be temporary, kicking someone out of the conference is definitive.

Restricted

When the Owner moves the Conference to Restricted mode, it will by default include all the Participants (Internal and External)

Call Control Restricted

The Owner can then restrict the Conference further to only the Participant with the Mic Open

Call Control Open Mic

Or only him (the Owner) and the External Participant

Call Control Owner Only

The same Actions as in Public mode stay available to the Owner in Restricted Mode:

1_ Mute

2_ Kick

As well as a 3rd One:

3_ Restrict

The Owner can restrict or include each participant independently in the Conference

Call Control Restrict

A Restricted Internal User will be clearly shown both in the Call Control Panel and his Call Focus:
